#1: Sycophants gonna sycophant
Drumpf's out but it's not over, getting rid of YouTube ads for free, and guess who just put a ring on it!
Cocktail this week: Island Girl to celebrate a Jamaican in the White House
Let us take a moment to acknowledge...
The Orange Cheeto is finally out of the White House.
Yes, we get a moment to celebrate. But just a moment. Because the madness isn't over yet.
We must never forget that “Individual-1” didn't create the chaos of the past half-decade by himself. He would have had no power if it weren't for his supporters, and most importantly, the enablers who worked for him and defended him in Congress.
In the grand scheme of things, the Mitch McConnells, Lindsey Grahams and Bill Barrs of the world are the ones we need to watch. They're smart enough to know better, yet they were so fxcking power hungry, they cast all sense of duty and logic aside to repeatedly defend this man, implement his bigoted, self-indulgent policies, then gleefully let him get away with it.
Drumpf is who he is. There's no denying that. But he could not have done what he did to America without these men. They gave him their power as long as it kept them in power. Until they tides started turning and it no longer suited them. Then they took it away.
If we're to take learn any lesson from their actions, heavens forbid, let it be this...
When you're finding your tribe, make sure they believe in you and what you stand for and aren't just around to ride your coattails. Because if not, they'll be gone with the first swift wind that blows.
Something for you to try…
If you’re ever looking to get rid of all the ads that follow you around online (yes, even those on YouTube), then you’ll wanna check out Brave. It’s an alternative to Chrome, but it’s built on the same framework - so you get to keep your bookmarks and extensions, but protect yourself from the silent spies tracking your every move online.
What I’m up to these days…
I just became an official Notion Ambassador, woohoo! I’ve been obsessed with Notion as a productivity tool for a year now, and for 2021, I decided I wanted to share it with others and help them use it to change their lives, the way it has changed mine. This is only the first step, so stay tuned for more to come!
OMG, have you seen this?!
Someone recently reminded me of one my fav videos on Twitter ever. Check out the caption!
